Strait Whisky at 43%abv available on-site from 1st August 2011
Our first three years grape production, from our on-site vineyard “The Rollo Bay Bootleggers“, have now been successfully fermented and distilled. They are now laid down and are patiently ageing in oak barrels. Although this will not be released for sale for many years to come, it will eventually make a fine Cognac style all Canadian brandy. Many thanks to all our friends and their children that helped us plant the vineyard!
Our speciality product for Summer 2011 will again be an authentic South of France style distilled Pastis. An anise flavoured drink, perfect as an aperitif or as a long drink for hot summer’s days. Available on-site only from June 1st 2011.
Also available will be a unique Dandelion Shine aged in used whisky barrels. A unique use for PEI's abundant (hand-picked) yellow flower! Available on site only in Rollo Bay from June 2011.
Our on-site shop this year, as well as selling mini lobster traps, T-shirts, hats, shot glasses, pens and key chains, will have a new range of Martini and Whisky glasses.
Strait Rum, available on-site only, is available in two strengths, Original Historic 100’ Proof (57.1% alc./vol.) and also standard spirit 80’Proof (40% alc./vol.)
From 2010 on we have opted to use ultra lightweight, eco friendly, glass recyclable bottles. Using only 30% of the energy for production and not being made from fossil fuels they represent a more green choice.
On site all products except speciality products are available in both standard 750ml and 350ml bottles. |
